These three-hour trainings will run from 9 a.m. to noon. All are free but pre-registration is required as seating is limited. The Ohio Supreme Court has approved 3 hours for CLE credits and the Ohio Peace Office Training Academy has approved 3 hours for CPT credits. For general social work CEUs you will receive a certificate that you can submit for your credit. For any credit or certificate of attendance you must attend, sign in, and sign out at the end of the training to receive credit.

The trainings will provide an overview of Ohio's Crime Victim Compensation program, explaining its parameters, the law and what to expect from the process. Staff will also share the office's role in both the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Reimbursement Program and the Sexual Assault Kit Tracking system, and how the office plays in a role in helping you help survivors navigate the process.

In addition, our Elder Justice Unit will share advocacy insights about that specific population, and provide resources that can help you in your work within that vulnerable community. The EJU experts will update initiatives the AGO has unveiled within the past year that strengthen the ability of agencies, advocates and networks to better protect older adults from all forms of abuse and discuss how the office is a valuable resource.

The regional sessions will be held:

* Sept. 15 in Cambridge (East Region)

* Sept. 22 in Columbus (Central Region)

* Oct. 1 in Centerville (Southwest Region)
